Externally, this individual acts as a liaison between SHP and presenting orchestras/partners; between SHP and talent; as well as a crucial communication link with management and agents.

When performing productions on tour with presenting symphony orchestras, this individual will advance the production with the presenter, communicating all technical details in accordance with SHP riders and show contracts and tracking all tasks. The Operations Manager will then be expected to be present at crucial SHP productions in the US and around the world, ensuring everything is executed according to the advance plan, and supporting SHP soloists and artistic personnel on site, making sure they have all the information and conditions they need to deliver a high-quality performance. The company uses MasterTour as the main information hub for touring artists, and the Operations Manager owns the MasterTour platform.

When self-producing SHP concerts (whether with full symphony orchestra or smaller ensemble), all of the above duties apply; this individual will either be responsible for all production aspects directly or oversee a freelance producer, as is required. Operations Manager is required to be present for all self-produced SHP concerts (currently most often slated in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Sun Valley, Idaho).

The Operations Manager will own the organization and maintenance of the SHP Google Drive, ensuring file structure stays accurate and efficient, documents and approved assets (such as riders, production documents etc.) stay updated, production folders remain accurate and current, and media assets are correctly archived. SHP Assistant/Artist Liaison will support this.

Digital content is a key area for this company; the digital stage is approached with as much consideration as the physical one. As such, the Operations Manager is responsible for the project management and production advancing of key content initiatives, and in conjunction with the freelance Creative Director and Social Media Manager, the management of the day-to-day creative content calendar.

In addition to large-scale concerts (whether presented or self-presented), other SHP projects include recording sessions, private concerts, festivals, workshops and partnerships with other artistic entities, etc. For all of these projects, the Operations Manager, together with the operations team, will be responsible for all production and operational elements, as well as personnel management and communication as listed above.

SHP team members thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and evolving work environment, inspired by the music and experiences we present, which challenges norms and breaks barriers.
